Frequently Asked Questions for First-Time Cruisers

What can you do on a sea day?

Sea days are yours to enjoy exactly as you choose. You can fill your time with a wide range of activities and entertainment, from spectacular theatre productions and live music to quizzes, games and daytime events.

There are also traditional card and table games, slot machines in the casino, and plenty of quiet corners to relax with a book. If you’d rather take it easy, simply unwind by the pool and enjoy the views as the ship sails on.

What’s the dress code onboard?

During the day, dress is relaxed and casual, so you can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. In the evenings, P&O Cruises operate two dress codes: Evening Casual and Black Tie.

On Evening Casual nights, smart-casual attire such as a stylish shirt or dress, and smart dark denim is perfectly acceptable. On Black Tie evenings, guests are encouraged to dress up, with tuxedos or suits for gentlemen and cocktail dresses or formalwear for ladies.

There are selected venues on each ship where dress codes do not apply. Details can be found in the Horizon programme delivered to your cabin each day, as these areas vary by ship. On family-friendly cruises, dress codes do not apply to children aged 17 and under.

How does the pricing work?

P&O Cruises offer three different pricing options: Select Price, Early Saver and Saver.
